Gasoline cars are experiencing something of a revival, according to European sales data from JATO Dynamics showing that gasoline cars are now selling almost as well as they were before the pandemic. This success comes at the expense of diesel cars.

“Despite the noticeable shift towards electric cars, many European consumers are not yet ready to switch away from cars with a combustion engine. While we see a clear decline in demand for diesel models, motorists are opting for petrol alternatives, rather than switching to electric models,” said Felipe Munoz, global analyst at JATO Dynamics.
