On Gerry Hutch’s birthday two years ago, American law enforcement agencies descended on the city.

Amid much fanfare and flanked by gardaí at Dublin City Hall, US police forces announced an unprecedented action against the Kinahan Organized Crime Group (KOCG). Rewards totaling $15 million for information to bring three key members of the Kinahan Cartel to justice – Christy Kinahan Sr, the cartel’s founder, and his sons Daniel Kinahan and Christy Kinahan Jr. – were on the table.
