Software company newest tenant at Exeter Science Park

An Exeter software development company that has experienced rapid growth due to increasing demand for its products and services has expanded into new, larger offices at Exeter Science Park.

Founded in 2019, Joiin has created a financial reporting platform that allows finance teams and advisors to quickly and easily consolidate group financial data from multiple sources in a fraction of the time it traditionally takes.

As the company has gone from strength to strength, it has taken advantage of the growth path offered at the Exeter Science Park and moved from its current home base at the Science Park Center to larger offices in the park’s most recently opened facility, the George Parker Pray. Building.

Paul Shipway, Chief Commercial Officer at Joiin, said: “In developing our software, we recognized that there was no other off-the-shelf product that worked well for multi-entity groups, so the founders set out to create something that would Work That.”

The company operates a subscription-based SaaS model and signed up its first customers in 2020; Since then, Joiin has experienced significant growth and now has more than 40,000 companies using its software in 135 countries.

Paul added: “Business has only gone from strength to strength in recent years. We saw a huge uptake during the pandemic, when people were working from home but still needed access to data, and we’ve successfully continued that momentum into today.

“It is crucial for us to have a base where we all come together. The Science Park team have been fantastic in supporting us and allowing us to grow from our original space to the new office.”

Paul adds: “The facilities at the Science Park are fantastic for start-up businesses, there is lots of support available if you need it and there is always someone to help. The flexibility offered means businesses can grow and know there will be offices to meet those needs. This is especially useful if you can’t predict how fast that growth will be.

“There is also a sense of community at the Science Park which is very positive. You are part of something bigger than your own company and that is very important to us.”

Jason Buck, senior business development manager at Exeter Science Park, said: “We are pleased to have been able to meet Joiin’s needs as the business grows.”
