Details about Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot’s murder

Manku revealed in an interview with Cine Punjabi that Chamkila received Rs 8,000 for his last performance. Manku left Chamkila and Amarjot to eat, as they wanted to eat before the performance, and then moved on to the next stage to make sure everything was okay. Manku then called Chamkila and Amarjot to the stage.

He said: “The gunmen were among the crowd. They could have shot him on the way. They could have shot him after he stepped on stage. Who knows, if they had shot at the stage, I might even have been shot. But they waited. Chamkila arrived grandly in his car, it was a scene straight out of a movie. I said, ‘Put your hands together, Chamkila is here.’ As soon as I said this, I heard loud bangs.”
