Inspiration from Rajasthani culture

Meticulously crafted by Diageo India, Godawan, an artisanal Single Malt Whiskey, draws inspiration from its roots to embrace Rajasthan’s ethos of finding beauty in scarcity while prioritizing sustainability.

This single malt is matured in carefully selected barrels infused with Indian botanicals, giving each sip a distinctive character.

“The dry climatic conditions contribute to an increased ‘Angel’s share’ phenomenon, creating an extraordinary flavor profile that captivates the palate,” says the team behind this unique whisky.

Angel’s share is a phenomenon in whiskey production in which some of the whiskey evaporates during maturation each year.

What is the London Spirits Competition?

The aim of the London Spirits Competition is to recognise, reward and increase the visibility of spirits brands that have been carefully curated to resonate with and cater to a particular type of drinker.

The assessment is based on three essential categories: the quality of the spirits, their value for money and their overall presentation.
