Firefighters and police respond to oceanside container fire

Firefighters battled a dumpster fire that broke out early Saturday at a commercial property in Oceanside.

Units were dispatched at 6:30 a.m. Saturday and arrived a few minutes later at 4061 Oceanside Blvd., according to the Oceanside Fire Department.

A total of 28 personnel were assigned to the fire, including three ladder trucks, five engines and one medic, officials said.

Three fire investigators were dispatched to the location and personnel from the City of Vista, San Diego Gas & Electric and the Oceanside Police Department assisted in the effort.

No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported. The cause of the fire was unknown.
